Children of the Gun: Chapter 2
An hour and a half later the two parties met up at an old, abandoned Diner on the edge of Zone 4. System and Jet had beat the others there by 10 minutes and were waiting outside when the Trans Am pulled up next to them.
"What took you guys so long?" Jet asked as Fun Ghoul got out of the car.
"It's called this hunk of junk doesn't run like it used to!" Fun replied, kicking the front right wheel of the car.
"HEY! Don't call her a hunk of junk!" Party snapped as he closed the door and opened the back one to help Crimson out.
"He loves this car more than anything, it's ridiculous sometimes," Jet replied, "It's Ray by the way."
"Derek," he re
"Thanks mom! I'll see you later!" Toni called as her mom drove away and she got out of her Ford and rushed up the stairs to meet her friends.
"Thought you weren't gonna get here in time!" Justine Daniels said as the small group walked into the theater.
"Hey Toni," Justin Farnsworth said, as she approached the door he was holding open for her.
"Hey Justin," Toni replied smiling, "Thanks."
'God he's so cute!' Toni thought as she paid for her ticket.
"Your party was a lot of fun," Justin said, trying to keep conversation with her.
"Thanks, it was a lot of work. I'm glad you came," Toni said.
Toni walked down the hall watching Justin. She
"So how was yesterday with Mr. Carpenter?" Danielle asked as the three of them sat at lunch together.
"It was .productive," Toni replied, looking for the right word to describe her lessons without giving them any reason to be suspicious.
Toni hated not being able to tell her best friends about this life changing experience. She could get in so much trouble if she told them! Darrin would be on her tail along with Jonathan and the rest of the council. They'd be pissed at her, and she didn't need or want that. She didn't need the pressure of a whole race hating her on top of her along with being a High School Student, all her school wor
"So why are you staying after with Mr. Carpenter?" Danielle asked as the three of them walked down the hall after school.
"Extra Credit, he said if I helped him grade some papers then he'll give me a boost in my grade," Toni lied, she hated lying to her best friends but it was necessary.
"Oh well. Hey at least your getting a better grade from this," Charley said as they left her in front of Mr. Carpenter's room.
"True. Bye guys!" Toni said, waving to them as she walked into the class room.
"There you are Toni," Mr. Carpenter said as she closed the door behind her.
"So what are we going to do first?" Toni said as she put down her bag
"You look absolutely beautiful darling!" Toni's mom Maria Barrows said as she helped Toni put her hair up in a bun.
"Thanks Mom," Toni replied as she stood up and admired herself in the mirror in her room at the Sheridan.
"I'm going to head downstairs to find your father okay?" Maria said as she headed towards the door.
"Okay I'll be down in a minute," Toni replied, as she put in her earrings.
Toni went over to the balcony and pulled the door open; it was cold but she would be fine for a couple of minutes. It was a perfectly clear night, beautiful and perfect for a sweet sixteen! 'The only thing that would make this better would be if
Chapter 1:
16 Years Later-
"I want this to be the best birthday ever!" Antonia Barrows said as she walked down the hall with her two best friends, holding a box full of invitations to her Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party.
"Toni!" Danielle Gallows replied, "Relax you've got a DJ, you're going to get a beautiful dress, and you've rented out the best hotel downtown for the weekend!"
"Exactly! It'll be perfect!" Charley Davis added, "Relax! Now we have to get all of these invitations out today?"
"Yes!" Toni replied, "My party is in a week! They need to go out today!"
"Alright. We'll help you," Charley said, taking a handful of invitation and fl

Prologue:
"Darrin!" A young man called from across the hospital lobby, he was dressed in a nurse's uniform and had just come out of the elevator. He motioned to the bright red haired man, named Darrin, to come with him.
"What happened? Is everything okay? Is it actually one of us?" Darrin asked without taking a single breath.
"Calm down will you! Everything's fine! I was able to get into the room and help with the delivery. She's one of us. It's time too." The other man said as they walked along the hall next to each other.
"It it is?" Darrin asked stopping in his tracks, and staring at his friend, "Jonathan, is she really the one? A
